WHY SECURE RECYCLING?
Of course, we will always encourage you to donate usable, unbranded clothing for reuse wherever possible, but how confident can you be that expired or damaged branded textiles or garments are being disposed of securely and effectively?
Secure disposal and textile shredding offers a significant advantage to your business, including guaranteed protection for your brand. We collect, destroy and recycle both non-branded textiles and uniform garments for complete peace of mind for our customers.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY RECYCLING BAGS AFTER COLLECTION?
We’ll take them back to our warehouse and arrange a collection from our recycling partner. The materials are then shredded, baled and repurposed all within the UK.
The primary and preferred route of recycling is to reuse any materials in manufacturing processes for new garments or textile products. Our secondary option is to recycle the materials into different products such as insulation, geotextiles, partition walls and sound boarding.
Finally, if the two options above are not possible, then material will be made into chips and melted to create polyester fabrics or used for energy (RDF).
There is Zero Waste to Landfill and a destruction certification is issued by our partner following shredding.
ORDERING PROCESS
Once you've ordered and filled your bags, email us at sales@burlington-uniforms.co.uk with an image and the collection address. We'll arrange the collection and your garments will be recycled with our licensed textile recycling partner. We’ll then issue you with a destruction certificate.
Need to recycle a large volume of uniforms (30+ bags)? Contact us for special discounts on our collection and recycling services. We'll make the process easy and affordable.
You don't have to use all the bags - if you don't have enough uniform to fill them all, you can keep them for future use. The bags are sold in units of 5, to ensure the most economically viable and efficient method of recycling.
HOW MUCH CAN WE SEND IN A BAG?
Please ensure each bag weighs no more than 15kg. This is roughly equivalent to 35 adult polo shirts or 10 jackets.
