The history of MASCOT
A proud tradition for developing workwear with a strong focus on the end users defines the company MASCOT; a Danish family owned company founded in 1982 with the second generation at the helm. The first years MASCOT produced traditional workwear, but it quickly became clear that the company had to differentiate themselves in terms of product quality and design, which lead the way for the first two-toned workwear range. Since then many products have emerged and today, MASCOT’s assortment consists of more than 600 products divided between more than 20 ranges of workwear, safety workwear, accessories and safety footwear. However, workwear from MASCOT is more than just workwear. Support, efficient logistics and high delivery reliability are all crucial for the customers and therefore for the company.
As one of Europe’s largest privately owned manufacturers of workwear, MASCOT focuses on fulfilling its ethical, social and environmental responsibility. In 2008, MASCOT opened its first factory in Vietnam, and today the company has four CSR-certified factories in Vietnam and one in Laos where the vast majority of the products are manufactured. With the SA8000-certificate, MASCOT documents a safe and secure working environment in the factories in Vietnam and Laos, in addition, the company prioritises to hold their subcontractors to the same standard.
